Obvious limitations apply when linking to images; while it's possible to request exotic formats like BMP or XPM it's not recommended
to do so; the preferred format is PNG for small images and JPEG for larger images. Also, requesting overly large images may end in
a blurry result if the source image does not have the resolution to support it. In such a situation the solution is to ensure
that images that have been uploaded to the server have a high enough resolution or to upload higher resolution images to replace
those low-resolution images.
